Some ideas for introducing the concept of service:

1. Introduce the concept of service in your first study circle session.

2. Consult periodically about service - how it can be practised by the study circle - service to each other (have a service roster, a buddy or a "guardian angel" activity - service to the Baha'i community or wider community, as a study circle - service outcomes from the course.

3. Invite an Auxiliary Board member to meet your study circle to talk about service (about six weeks before the end of the course).

4. Towards the end of the course, set aside a time for meditation and reflection on service - put on some beautiful music and ask participants to write down their ideas on service. You might even like to have participants write themselves a letter about their service goals, which they seal in a self addressed envelope and hand to the tutor who then posts it to them six weeks after the end of the course.

5. In thinking about service goals, suggest to participants not to take on too many activities - if they are already heavily involved in service.
