My Book Two Study Circle, comprised of three youth participants (one of whom just declared) were asked by our Local Assembly to host the First Day of Ridvan celebration this year. We came up with a two-person historical play based on the life of the Baha'u'llah and His family - told through the voices of Asiyih Khanum, Baha'u'llah's wife, and a narrator. I thought it could be used by any of the Ruhi groups, particularly since Book 2 and Book 4 study the life of Baha'u'llah.

Some editorial notes to the play - - I used the term "my husband" as the preferred way for Navvab to refer to Baha'u'llah to emphasize her point of view as the wife - this might not be the most accurate/reverent form of address but I don't know how she addressed Him; - for authenticity, accents/underlining needs to be added to the proper names/nouns; - one source said that Baha'u'llah's "hat" was taken off on His march into Tihran - I assume it was a taj such as we've seen the Guardian wore, not the turban as we see on 'Abdu'l-Baha but there is no confirmation of that; - I assume that the second regiment brought in to shoot the Bab was also 750 men/rifles as was Sam Khan's regiment but there is no confirmation of that; - Navvab had seven children - 'Abdu'l-Baha, Bahiyyih Khanum and Mirza Mihdi survived and four didn't - the position of this fact in the play may lead people to believe that they died on the trip to Baghdad, but the history books didn't specify anything about them (who/when/where/how).

This play was written over a few short days, so some liberties were taken in the above areas. If it needs correcting or supplementing, others should feel free to do so.
