Courtesy of Saname Ahdieh, AustraliaAn innovative and moving way to share stories of the Bab by putting yourself in the character of an eyewitness to His life. Consider this activity for Book 4 / Unit 1 / Section 8, about the Martyrdom of the Bab.
Split the Study Circle into groups of three, if possible. Give each group a character from the history of the Cause (Anis, the Bab's amanuensis, Sam Khan, an eyewitness to the execution, etc.).
Have the group put themselves into the shoes of that character and describe to the rest of the Study Circle in any way they want, the story of the Martyrdom of the Bab from that perspective. Storytelling, acting, and/or a diary extract can be used.
It is important to focus on how the character was feeling and what they went through rather than just directly telling the story from the book. We have found this to be a very effective storytelling technique.
