Purpose

To create an exciting atmosphere for the memorization of the Holy Word.

Materials

Selected quotations already memorized, and a small ball.

Time Period

5-10 minutes

Steps

1.  The group stands in a circle facing each other and the facilitator tosses the ball to someone.  That person has to recite a quotation from memory, then tosses the ball to someone else.  The quotation can be any from the Ruhi books.  This is also fun to do at the end of a unit, focusing on that unit's quotations.

2.  Alternative -- instead of the person who catches the ball reciting an entire quotation, the group can have each person say one word of the quotation that they have all learned.  Every time someone gets the ball, they have to say the next word then toss the ball to someone else.

Notes

You might want to include a "pass" option so no one gets embarrassed if they've forgotten the quotation.
