Supplies:
Cardstock – different colors
Roll of clear contact paper – Tell sales helper that its used to cover books and folders if they don’t know what you’re talking about.
Embroidery floss
Paper punch
Scissors
Pens for writing quotes
Markers
Stickers and/or stencils (optional)
Prepare before Ruhi class:
For detailed pictures open/download PDF or MS Word file.
1) cut cardstock into 8.5 x 2.5 inch sheets (other sizes also possible)
2) cut contact paper into 9 x 9 inch sheets
3) cut embroider floss roll in half. Take one-half a roll, remove two pieces of string (floss). Tie one piece around the middle and one around the end to create a tassle.
During the Ruhi class:
For detailed pictures open/download PDF or MS Word file.
1) let participants create bookmarks using their favorite quote from the Ruhi book. Let them decorate them to their hearts content with markers and stickers.
2) When the bookmark is done, put the bookmark on the contact paper and fold over to create a seal.
3) Trim off the extra contact paper to a ¼ inch margin around the bookmark.
4) Punch a hole in one end of the bookmark.
5) Tie tassel to bookmark using the hole in the bookmark.
