Courtesy of Hugh Chance RTI's Tutor TipsA fun way to encourage several beneficial aspects of the study circle process. Memorization is a component of both course tracks and, we know that one of the expected outcomes of the Ruhi 1 course is for the friends to have the skills to hold devotional meetings. So, here is a little idea to develop these capacities and interests among the participants.
Materials
Make photocopies of some of the sections of the material that contain quotations, and then make up an arts supply box: crayons, markers, scissors, colored paper, ribbons, glue, tape, etc.
Time Period
20-30 minutes
Steps
1. Ask the participants to select one of the quotations they particularly like, cut it out, mount it and decorate it. There are sure to be some beautiful efforts, and this works with all ages.
Then, make a quotations basket that will be kept handy at every study circle meeting. This, along with prayer books, will help to make your devotional times very beautiful and enjoyable.
Notes
You can point out that each family can have a Writings Basket, which can be used in holding simple devotional meetings as well as in daily family readings.
